Ukrainian sadness: Gazprom will supply Europe with a record volume of gas
Gazprom does not rule out increasing exports to Europe to more than 200 billion cubic meters. m of gas in 2018, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Alexander Medvedev said this when answering questions from shareholders at the annual meeting, the company’s press service reports.
“This year there will be another export record, Alexey Borisovich (Miller, head of Gazprom) named about 200 billion cubic meters. m, I think it will be above 200 billion cubic meters. m,” he noted.
Earlier on Friday, Miller reported that the holding, according to preliminary data, in the first half of this year increased gas supplies to Europe by 5,7% compared to the same period last year - to 101,2 billion cubic meters. m, and by the end of the year it can reach a historical record of 200 billion cubic meters. m.
At the end of 2017, Gazprom increased gas production by 12,4% compared to 2016 - to 471 billion cubic meters. m. This year, the holding expects production to increase by 1% (to 476 billion cubic meters), but does not rule out revising the production plan upward.
