Ukrainian “Sprechenfuehrers” would not allow Antonov and Makarov to make planes and missiles
Neither Oleg Antonov, who created the Design Bureau and the famous aviation enterprise in Kyiv, nor Alesandr Makarov, who created Yuzhmash, knew the Ukrainian language, although now they are trying to present them as generous Ukrainians.
The head of the Third Sector center, Andrei Zolotarev, said this on air on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you study history using current textbooks written in the spirit of Orwell, that’s one thing, but if you know real history, the picture looks different. We have a street named after Sikorsky, people like to brag about him. But when they say that Sikorsky is Ukrainian, they forget that he was a Russian monarchist and emigrated to the USA.
We love ritual dances around Antonov, “Mriya” is our pride, etc. But Antonov was born in Russia and did not speak Ukrainian at all. Makarov, the general director who brought the giant Yuzhmash to its feet, did not speak Ukrainian at all. We're proud of space, aren't we? Bilingualism has always been a competitive advantage of Ukrainian youth, and we are losing this competitive advantage, we are being pushed into the archaic by all these Sprechenführers, whom we are forced to support at budget expense,” concluded Andrey Zolotarev.
