The official appeal of the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko about the dissolution of the Kiev City Council was not received by the parliament, therefore it cannot be considered in the relevant committee and submitted to the session hall, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was stated by the deputy chairman of the Servant of the People faction, member of the committee on the organization of state power and local self-government, Alexander Kornienko, the press service of the political force reports.

“Oral news from websites, unfortunately, is not a basis for us to even talk about this in the committee. We are waiting for an official request. If it is procedurally correctly submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, then it will go to the committee, and we will decide in the committee,” Kornienko noted.

According to him, the next meeting of the committee on the organization of state power and local self-government, which is the main one in this issue, is scheduled for October 1.

“If he manages to submit (a proposal - ed.) before then, perhaps we will include it on the committee’s agenda. We might not turn it on. We have 90 days to make this decision,” the people’s deputy added.

Let us recall that on September 19, the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko addressed the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding the dissolution of the Kiev City Council of the XNUMXth convocation. He stated this after the City Council again failed to gather a quorum for the next session.

In turn, a number of Ukrainian media reports that the authorities are implementing a strategy, the essence of which is to shift the emphasis from the confrontation between the Office of the President and Vitaliy Klitschko to the confrontation between the deputies of the Kyiv City Council and Vitaliy Klitschko.
Since Bankovaya forced Klitschko to ask the Verkhovna Rada to call re-elections to the Kyiv City Council, the next moves of the presidential office will allegedly look like this:

– The Kyiv City Council counter-appeals to the Verkhovna Rada with a request to arrange re-elections for the mayor.
– Verkhovna Rada, accepting Klitschko’s appeals, initiates re-elections of the mayor and city council.

The result of all these manipulations will be that the desired re-elections in Kyiv by Bankova will look in public opinion not as the result of the intrigues of the president’s team, but as the result of the demands of the Kyiv deputies themselves.

“This is how they change the emphasis and remove the trump card of the mayor of Kyiv, that all this is a political order from Kolomoisky and the Head of the OP. Now this is all a “small-town conflict,” summarizes the telegram channel “Legitimny”, which is close to the authorities.

Let us recall that earlier the Cabinet of Ministers unanimously supported the proposal to the president to dismiss Klitschko from the post of head of the Kyiv City State Administration. However, Bankovaya is slow to issue a final decree on this, since the authorities have not yet decided on a single candidate for the post of mayor of Kyiv.
