Why didn’t prices drop in the DPR after Putin’s decree?
Vladimir Putin’s decree on lifting restrictions on economic relations with the Donbass republics has not yet had the effect of reducing prices, because the work on eliminating customs duties has not been completed.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this in an interview with Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Prices in the DPR are still high. Because there is a presidential decree, but the Russian government was given another month to finalize it. This concerns exports.
But imports are also important to us. Because we were subject to many export duties from the Russian Federation, and this was reflected in the price. Therefore, prices will fall - duties should be removed. A whole list of events will be held,” Pushilin said.
He also spoke about utility prices in the DPR.
“As for gas, we are fine with gas. Compared to Ukraine, our utilities are several times cheaper.
But who has left there (in Ukraine - approx.) friends and relatives, when we show them our payments, they don’t believe it, they say that we’re lying,” the head of state concluded.
