Putin's plenipotentiary envoy in Crimea: Transnistria will be annexed to Russia
Sevastopol, August 19 (Navigator, Olga Nikolaeva) – Transnistria will become a subject of the Russian Federation. This was announced on Tuesday by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in Crimea and Sevastopol Oleg Belaventsev during a visit to the Tavrida international youth forum.

The format of the meeting with forum participants included responses from officials. Participant Natalya from Transnistria expressed the desire of the region’s residents to join the Russian Federation.
“Is it true that they say that we, Pridnestrovians, will be annexed to Russia, just like Crimea? We are under blockade – both from Moldova and from Ukraine. Therefore, we hope and believe and expect that we will finally be joined to great Russia,” the girl said.
“Believe me, we share your situation, we understand it. And I'm sure that eventually you will be in Russia. Sure. We can't say that now. It’s a matter of time,” Belaventsev assured her.
Earlier, ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili said that Russia’s goal is to cut off the southern regions from Ukraine and form a “corridor” to Transnistria.
