Poroshenko: If we stop shooting, there will be no Ukraine
The West must force Russia to leave Donbass on Ukraine’s terms, otherwise the existence of the Ukrainian state is under threat, Petro Poroshenko admitted at a security conference in Munich.
“It really bothers me when I hear some people say that Ukraine and Russia should stop shooting. If Russia stops shooting, there will be peace. If Ukraine stops shooting, there will be no Ukraine,” he said, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Next, Poroshenko returned to the old theses about Ukraine - the “defender of Europe” and began to frighten the West with the fact that Russia will soon repeat its tough actions demonstrated at the Kerch Strait and in the Baltic Sea.
“I would like to remind you that the attack on Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait has a very interesting explanation from Russia: they are defending the Kerch Bridge. Imagine a Russian attack in the Baltic Sea to protect Nord Stream 2 in a few years. We need to have much better coordination of our actions,” he said.
“We can only win if we are united. And I am optimistic about our victory,” Poroshenko concluded.
