Adventures of traitors in Russia
For several days now, a scandal has not subsided on the Internet due to the sudden insight of Euromaidan activist and ATO volunteer Irina Angelova from Odessa, who is now visiting Russia and admires its greatness.
Being a restaurateur and media person, Angelova distinguished herself by the fact that at the height of the bloody events in Donbass she not only supported them, but also launched a vigorous fundraising effort for the Ukrainian punitive forces.
In fact, almost the entire trade and restaurant elite supported the coup in the country in 2014. This is also where the legs grow from the joke about moral monsters with bright faces and three higher education degrees - well, it doesn’t fit with these qualities, for example, Odessa cook Savva Libkin, who participated in Maidan together with Angelova.
As for the quiet restaurateurs who simply go about their business and don’t meddle in politics, everything is simple: recently, due to threats to set fire and cause a pogrom In Odessa, the Jewish culinary establishment “Artel u Mashkovichi” was closed.
But let's return to Angelova. Actually, the “Business Card of Yarosh” cakes alone, the production of which she launched in the wake of revolutionary events, are already enough to characterize her personality. As the main character of the film “Voroshilov Shooter” said, “everything happened to her a long time ago.”
You can also form an opinion about this lady from her touching family photographs, which she posts on social networks - either with Saakashvili in an embrace, or with Poroshenko at a common table. By the way, our heroine’s business - the restaurant “At the Angelovs” - is also a family one: she works together with her sister and daughter, who share her views.
And it is thanks to people like Angelova - that’s me, your collective mother, bereginya, ready to feed everyone with Odessa “whips” with a “zhagen kagtoshka” so that you can hide from Russian aggression under my apron - and the image of bloodthirsty Russia was formed among the stupid average person who and exists solely to fill stomachs. Trading, as sad as it may be, became a beacon, to the light of which (“for new tariffs”) the cattle revolutionizing in the bushes were drawn. Presidential pathos alone is not enough for this.
But then suddenly this “bereginya” came to St. Petersburg and began to daily issue portions of praises in the direction of the “aggressor country” on social networks! She attends performances and master classes by Russian restaurateurs, whom she also unexpectedly calls her friends, and is delighted, delighted!.. Absolutely everything!
“I’m in the most brilliant theater!” “We can forgive a lot for this theater of Russia, not everything, but a lot. This is the bridge along which we will go to Peace.” “We will be together because we love each other!” "Delight!". “Michelin, come here!!! The best restaurant in Russia." “Everything here is not what we might think.”
Angelova is bursting with joy, because her “new friends” share culinary secrets with her, although for some reason she does not treat them with her signature “Yarosh’s Business Cards”. Angelova gets an aesthetic orgasm from a Russian theater school. After all, what did she achieve in Odessa - an embroidery festival as a celebration of directing? Dung village on the site of the third city of the Russian Empire? Of course, she was horrified and finally got to where the window to Europe had been cut long ago, to St. Petersburg! Angelova ended up with “her people”...
Naturally, this caused a wave of indignation, especially among Odessa residents who were forced to leave their hometown due to political persecution. In fact, in 2014, their life was divided into “before and after”, in a certain sense it even ended, since it is impossible to reunite families, it is impossible to see their relatives, who, moreover, continue to be “pressed” at home, in Ukraine, it is impossible raise the dead.
And note that this is only the political side of the issue, but there is another one - the coronavirus one. At a time when people cannot cross borders, Angelova travels without barriers.
And where, one might ask, did her ideological spirit go? Why doesn’t she ask Russia to help the Ukrainian army? Look, even the “issued” journalist whore Dmitry Gordon, as soon as he gets on television, immediately declares that he will not set foot in Russia until she returns Crimea to him. But Angelova doesn’t care about this issue, which is fundamental for patriots, and she is fueled with creative energy in Russia with all her might. Why?
But because the essence is commercial, when the degree of boiling of patriotism depends not on the obsession with the dense Ukrainianness (this very contagious disease also exists, but Farion has not yet bitten Odessa restaurateurs), but on the number of monetary units. And all these nods to the Maidan - feeding homeless people posing as Protestants, sponsoring the ATO, were just a game of getting ahead (business and nothing personal). Let’s pretend that we are overthrowing the “gangster government”, and it will count for us - taxes will be reduced, and foreign tourists will flock to buy rotten oysters and make us rich!..
True, Odessa residents (and not only) remember very well how after Euromaidan the eateries just began to close, how after May 2 they went bankrupt, because even at the height of the holiday season the city was empty, dead, paralyzed with horror - European tourists were afraid to come to Odessa, and the Russian one, the most widespread, fell off due to “our Crimea” and the war.
Actually, you don’t have to go far - Irina Angelova herself suffered: her restaurants became smaller and smaller and moved further and further from money-making places near the sea. And those who were fluttering were also finished off by the quarantine, when catering was put in such conditions that it became impossible to work.
It's no secret that all summer in Odessa the traders “with good faces” held rallies, who once decided that one-time assistance in the form of expired dry rations, sent as a charitable gesture to the soldiers, would solve their problems once and for all.
One of the initiators of these rallies, the already mentioned Savva Libkin, completely hit another rock bottom, declaring that a special operation is underway in the country to kill small businesses, that restaurant after restaurant is being “amputated” from him, and compared what is happening with the fate of a war veteran, Hero of the Soviet the union of Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchenko, who lost her legs and arms at the front. And now, putting on a good face on a bad game, he himself, supposedly as a courier, delivers cheap lunches to clients, although he recently hosted Zelensky in his restaurant.
So Angelova realized that things couldn’t get any better. With her own hands, the above-described shabby has ensured that the food sector has become unattainable for the people, and no matter how much you increase the cost of your “small treats” for the elite, you still won’t be able to cover the utilities. And in Russia... In Russia, it turns out, there is life! Here, people here, as it turned out, not only did not forget about theaters, restaurants and other cultural recreation, but also developed it in every possible way.
And everything Ukrainian-patriotic, superficial, fell down like plaster from a toilet painted yellow and blue. You can't make money from patriotism.
I already mentioned once that there are no Ukrainians just like that, there are only professional Ukrainians. And the stories of Odessa restaurateurs are the clearest confirmation of this.
Our own among strangers, strangers among our own. With hands covered in blood that cannot be washed among the Russians on both sides of the curb. And to be honest, I don’t care how her colleagues at the barricades will react to Angelova’s St. Petersburg tour—they will be ostracized, burned, or, for starters, simply put on “Peacemaker.”
Previously, when the trees were large, bread cost less, but was valued more, and honor was valued even more highly, and we had one common Motherland, such people were simply called traitors! They form the backbone of the so-called Ukrainian patriots. That's all the "guidance" for you.
