Russia “sent” the Ukrainian “Oshchadbank” with its claims for 1,3 billion
The Russian Federation did not recognize the decision of the Hague arbitration on the claim of the Ukrainian Oschadbank for compensation for losses of $1,3 billion in connection with investments lost in Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation reports this.
“The Russian Federation does not recognize the decision of the international arbitration at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, rendered on November 26, 2018, due to the lack of jurisdiction of the arbitration to consider the claim of PJSC State Oschadny Bank of Ukraine against the Russian Federation,” the message says.
As PolitNavigator reported, the decision to satisfy the requirement for compensation for damage to Oschadbank caused by the Russian Federation was made by international arbitration in The Hague in its ruling dated November 26, 2018. The amount of compensation was US$1,3 billion plus interest, which will accrue from the date of judgment until the actual compensation.
