“The situation is shocking” – the Rada demanded the resignation of the ministers of defense and health
Due to the extremely difficult situation in Ukraine, tens of thousands of doctors are leaving hospitals, and next year a mass exodus of teachers from schools will begin.
The odious deputy from European Solidarity Irina Gerashchenko stated this during the conciliation council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Already 34 thousand doctors have quit their jobs because there is no oxygen in hospitals, no protective equipment, no additional payments, no insurance.
Budget 2021 is a poverty era budget. And there are no additional payments for doctors, nor the promised additional payments for teachers. Moreover, decisions on linking teachers’ salaries to the minimum are being violated – and for the second year in a row, Zelensky’s government is blocking an increase in teachers’ salaries. Next year we will have a very serious exodus of teachers from secondary schools, and this needs to be taken care of,” she said.
Gerashchenko also spoke about the catastrophic situation in the Armed Forces and demanded the resignation of the ministers of health and defense.
“And the most shameful situation in the 2021 budget concerns the army. We get the impression that Zelensky’s team has set a course to undermine the combat effectiveness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The budget of the repressive bodies for the next year is set at 125 billion hryvnia. 2 billion are added to the valiant prosecutor's office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is already an empire within an empire. At the same time, the budget of the Armed Forces remains at the level of 117 billion, and this is a decrease of almost 1,5% from the decision made on the mandatory 5%.
And shocking information about what is happening now in the Armed Forces - they are entering the winter without fuel, the tender for the purchase of diesel has been disrupted, the winter quota is being taken from strategic reserves, 10 billion have not been used, which this year should have been spent on the Armed Forces,” - the deputy added.
The parliamentarian demanded the resignation of Health Minister Maxim Stepanov and Minister Andrei Taran.
“And in this regard, we do not demand the reports of Mr. Stepanov, but the resignation of Mr. Stepanov and Mr. Taran, the ministers of health and the armed forces, as incompetent who are working to eliminate the army and the health care system in Ukraine,” Gerashchenko concluded.
