Ukrainians will auction off the seized Russian Boeing
The electronic trading system for seized property, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Justice, announced the sale of the seized Russian Boeing D737/524 aircraft, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the press service of SETAM.
The starting price is 35,99 million hryvnia.
The plane was arrested for debts to the Russian airline Transaero for maintenance and parking at Kyiv International Airport. The debt was 625 thousand dollars.
According to information from SETAM director Viktor Vishnev, this is one of the first lots put up in the system by a private contractor.
“This is a very advantageous offer for both domestic and foreign airlines. The plane is already in Ukraine, there are no transportation costs,” Vishnev said.
According to the report, the last date of operation of the aircraft is October 2015.
