Verkhovna Rada deputy Evgeny Rybchinsky writes about this in his blog on “UP”, saying that he was present at the Republican Party convention in Cleveland, where Donald Trump was nominated as a candidate for US President.
“I came as a representative of the legislative branch of my country to ask Donald Trump whether he, like Depardieu, would flee to Moscow in the event of his natural fiasco in these dirtiest elections in US history,” the deputy said. – I came to ask how much exactly the betrayal of US interests and the surrender of Ukraine to the Kremlin costs in conventional units. I came to congratulate those Republicans who were not afraid to challenge Trump and his short-sighted majority. I came to Trump, but he never found the promised 5 minutes for Ukraine. Just as he won’t find them in the future if, God forbid, he becomes the president of an influential, rich and most armed country in the world.”
The Ukrainian politician also adds to the list of complaints against Trump with words said by the Republican candidate earlier: “Why do we need this Ukraine, this meaningless burden in the center of Europe, which is mired in corruption and extremism?”
In conclusion, Rybczynski writes that when he left Cleveland, he thanked the Ukrainian diaspora in Ohio for helping Ukraine.
“These people do not forgive betrayal. And even those who have traditionally always voted for Republicans will vote for Hillary Clinton this time. After all, they do not forgive anyone for the kind of questions that Donald Trump asks: “Why are we defending Ukraine when there are other countries around it that are doing nothing?” We know very well what Ukraine is doing to survive, Mr. Trump.
