Voenkor: Issuing Russian passports is now more important than the offensive in Donbass
Russia will achieve more in the Donbass not through military operations, but through the mass distribution of citizenship.
VGTRK military correspondent Alexander Sladkov stated this on air on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“If we recapture Krasnohorivka, for example, that’s one thing. And if four vans arrive - in Donetsk, in Dokuchaevsk, in Gorlovka, in Mayorsk - and begin issuing Russian citizenship in the field, this will be a more powerful blow towards the West through Ukraine. Ukraine is an anvil. They hit it, but it responds further. And who will do what to us,” said Sladkov.
He proposed concluding territorial agreements on economic cooperation between the LDPR and Russian regions.
"Why not? Understand that people don’t have enough of this, and it’s not that we will overwhelm them with artillery. We take on enormous responsibility for the people who live there,” Sladkov said.
