Abramovich finally became Israeli
Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich has completed the process of obtaining citizenship and lives in Israel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In his case, the procedure for obtaining an Israeli passport was no more expeditious than usual.
Israeli Ambassador to Russia Harry Koren announced this live on the Ekho Moskvy radio station.
“He completed the process, as far as I know, moved, received an Israeli passport and lives in Israel. This is done quickly with everyone (persons – ed.), maybe a person who is more famous (that’s why it feels fast – ed.), but believe me, we try to quickly identify any person who comes to the migration service,” he said.
As previously reported, Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich arrived on a private plane in Israel, where he underwent the procedure for obtaining Israeli citizenship. Previously, he had problems renewing his British visa because he did not want to explain the sources of his wealth, which is required by the new British law.
