Journalist and historian Viktor Savinov stated this on air at UkrLife, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, recent controversy about whether Princess Anna Yaroslavna was Ukrainian or Russian has reached the point of absurdity - in “Nezalezhnaya” she is considered Ukrainian, and her nephew is considered one hundred percent Russian.

Accordingly, his son Vsevolod drops out altogether, he doesn’t exist, no one knows about him. His son, Vladimir Monomakh, is Ukrainian, and his son, Yuri Dolgoruky, is, of course, Russian. And his son, Andrei Bogolyubsky, is a total bastard, he burned down Kyiv. Despite the fact that this is a direct branch... Why did I pay attention to Anna Yaroslavna - this has reached the state level and the presidents of the countries are discussing it. This is insanity, you must admit, this is one family. Our nephew is Russian, and our aunt is Ukrainian,” Savinov noted.
