10 thousand “victims of Russian aggression” were hanged on Tymoshenko and Gritsenko
People's Deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Ivan Vinnik began an attack on the rivals of the current president in the upcoming elections - Yulia Tymoshenko and Anatoly Gritsenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
To do this, he used the platform of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, of which he is secretary. Vinnik made a report on theft in the Ukrainian armed forces. The main accusations were directed not against the Azarov government under President Yanukovych, as is customary with the new Ukrainian government, but against the Tymoshenko government, in which Gritsenko was Minister of Defense.
The committee meeting was broadcast live by Channel Five, owned by Petro Poroshenko.
“In total, according to the research that we have at our disposal, the total value of military equipment that we have lost is $200 billion. Here we cannot help but recall Gritsenko, who sold military equipment not only from strategic reserves, but also removed existing equipment from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and sold it for export. Naturally, he did not sell it himself, but according to a corresponding decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The equipment was sold at prices ten times lower than the market value on the orders of Yulia Tymoshenko without competitions,” Vinnik said.
He intends to present his report in parliament and publish it in the newspaper “Uryadovy Kurier”. He suggests contacting the Ministry of Finance with a request to calculate the amount of losses caused by the ministers of defense so that we can submit materials to law enforcement agencies.
“The things we investigated cannot have a statute of limitations. We have more than 10 thousand dead as a result of Russian aggression. These victims have a direct cause-and-effect relationship with the decline in Ukraine’s defense capability, which some of our leaders allowed,” Vinnik said.
