Poland is becoming a target for Russian missiles
The most likely location of the military base, which is being discussed between Washington and Warsaw, is the Polish city of Orzysz, located near Kaliningrad.
Izvestia writes about this, citing informed sources in Polish diplomatic circles.
According to them, the US military presence in the immediate vicinity of the Russian border “should provide protection from external threats not only to Poland, but also to the Baltic countries.” The fact of negotiations was confirmed by the Polish Foreign Ministry.
In turn, Moscow warns Poland about the inevitable consequences that the creation of an American base near the Russian border will lead to.
“Poland’s decision is an absolutely irresponsible step that creates additional tension in the region. The actions of the Polish authorities are politically motivated, dangerous from a military point of view and unjustified from an economic point of view. If an object actually appears on Polish territory, it will immediately be planned as a target for fire. These are the rules of war,” Franz Klintsevich, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, told the publication.
