The US Embassy in Ukraine is concerned about the humanitarian situation in Avdeevka, Donetsk region, where active fighting has been going on since January 29.

On January 30, the head of the Donetsk regional military-civil administration, Pavel Zhebrivsky, appointed by Kiev, said that as a result of the intensification of hostilities in the Avdeevka area, only one power supply line remained. The head of the Donetsk police, Vyacheslav Abroskin, said that there is no electricity and water supply in the city. A state of emergency was declared in the city.
