Pushilin on reunification with Russia: There are more important questions
There are currently more important issues on the global geopolitical agenda than the official recognition of the Donbass republics by Russia.
Acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin stated this on the Union TV channel, answering a journalist’s question about how to speed up the process of reunification of Donbass with Russia.
“Let's still look at things realistically. And to talk about recognition, no matter how much we would like it, no matter how much we have been waiting for it since 2014, there are a number of geopolitical issues, there are a number of issues that are now more important, and we must be included in an agenda of a broader scale than just Donbass.
We must understand that we strive to measure all our steps, all our actions with our, probably, capabilities at different stages of the formation of the republic. And now I would still follow the world agenda, the changes that are taking place. Still, with optimism, but still, let’s measure it against our capabilities today,” Pushilin said.
