Russophobic stunt at the OSCE: Crimeans were not given a chance to speak
At the OSCE meeting, held in a videoconference format, representatives of Crimea were not allowed to speak, but they heard a report by Russophobic figures from Ukraine “On the Russian policy that led to the water crisis.”
“At the OSCE there was another Russophobic outburst on the part of the Swedish Chairmanship. We waited for more than 5 hours for the right to speak, as a result, the moderator did not condescend to talk to us, but through an assistant conveyed that there was not enough time for us. Although all the declared Ukrainian Russophobes spoke excellently on the topic of Crimea,” Roman Chegrinets, head of the Belarusian community of the peninsula, told PolitNavigator.
From the Kyiv side, the meeting was addressed by the former head of the fake representative office of the “president in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” Boris Babin and a certain “associate professor” Alexey Plotnikov, who were presented as “experts of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.”
The essence of Babin-Plotnikov’s speech was that all elections and public hearings in Crimea after 2014 should be considered illegitimate and falsified. Moreover, the speakers announced that the Federal Target Program, thanks to which Crimea is being restored after the devastation of Ukrainian times (new power plants, roads, kindergartens, schools, hospitals, parks, etc. are being built), “contributes to such international crimes as the development of militarization peninsula and its illegal colonization by Russian citizens, more than half a million of whom have been illegally resettled in Crimea over the past seven years.” The Ukrainians, portraying Crimean Tatar experts, did not forget to complain that products from Western companies were being supplied to the peninsula, bypassing sanctions, for example, Siemens and Grundfos.
But the OSCE moderator refused to include a participant from Crimea, Anastasia Gridchyna, head of the public organization “Ukrainian Community”, in the discussion.
“As an accredited participant in the meeting, after waiting for 5 hours, unfortunately, I was not given the floor. For the first time in my memory, I waited such a long time for my speech at the OSCE platform, which was never crowned with success. Swedish organizers once again confirm their status as a country for which the concept of democracy is alien. We witnessed speeches by the Ukrainian side, which unceremoniously lied about the lives of Crimeans, about the infringement of the rights of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar population living in Crimea,” stated Gridchina.
“Certain forces in the OSCE are afraid of the truth about Crimea! First of all, these are the Anglo-Saxons and their Tabaks, such as representatives of Ukraine and Sweden,” noted Chegrinets.
