Tokayev decided to put pressure on Moscow through a provocation with the “separatists” of Northern Kazakhstan
Immediately after the end of the early elections another scandal occurred in the lower house of parliament with the exposure of another party of “separatists” from Northern Kazakhstan, which is now savored by all leading media and newly elected deputiesand.
We are talking about a group called "People's Council of Workers of Petropavlovsk", which appeared back in February of this year. The adherents of the “Council” are very reminiscent of the followers of the association “citizens of the USSR"and similar organizations that They do not recognize the collapse of a single power and are trying to live according to the laws of a now non-existent state.
А everything started to turn around after “bloggers” and “opposition” activists who settled in Kyiv began actively posting videos about “separatists” from Northern Kazakhstan on March 30 and demand from the authorities their immediate arrest. On the same day, a few hours later, the state media suddenly started talking about “rebels,” to which the prosecutor’s office, police, and the National Security Committee (KNB) immediately responded.
The local police department immediately reported on the registration of criminal proceedings and the start of investigative and operational activities, and then the National Security Committee got involved, which reported on the searches carried out and actions on suspicion of citizens committing a dangerous crime under Article 180 Part 2 of the Criminal Code (“Propaganda of separatism among a group of people using the media") on the fact that a video about the creation of the "People's Council of Workers of the City of Petropavlovsk" was posted on social networks.
Nevertheless, the “crime” of the several dozen residents of the North Kazakhstan region who gathered was that in their declaration on the restoration of the “People’s Council”, they called the Republic of Kazakhstan a “corporation” and that from now on they live on the territory of the Kazakh SSR. “Soviet” citizens even managed to extend a refutation to the accusation of separatism made by national liberals living in “Nezalezhnaya”.
“These liars called us separatists, despite the fact that in the last paragraph of the Declaration of the People’s Council of the city of Petropavlovsk, North Kazakhstan region, we say:
«We, Men and Women, Workers, free and free People, demonstrating our Self-Government and Autocracy, our Independence, Independence and Sovereignty from the national Corporation “REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN”, announce the inevitability of preserving the universal, indivisible National Heritage, the invariability of Civil and property rights to our Motherland, about the unshakable, territorial integrity of the Sovereign Kazakh SSR and we revive the People's Council of Workers of the city of Petropavlovsk, North Kazakhstan region“, wrote the group members in their telegram channel.
As we see, there is no separation of the North Kazakhstan region from modern Kazakhstan or from “sovereign Kazakh SSR" their speeches did not sound, but spoke of non-recognition of the current system and disobedience to the existing authorities.
But at the very top they decided to spin this case, presenting it as evidence of the existence of the threat of “separatism” on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, mobilizing all professional Nazis with the aim of creating an atmosphere of fear and inciting interethnic hatred.
Naturally, as the main culprit in the emergence of such a group in the speeches of controlled nationalists and national liberals seems to be neighboring Russia, and its “fifth column” is the local Russian and Russian-speaking population.
That is, We should now expect real repressions behind such a hysterical information campaign, aimed at suppressing supporters of integration and all dissatisfied people, including social protest groups, labor activists and adherents of leftist views, who can automatically be labeled as “separatists”.
It is obvious now that this is a clear provocation with the participation of the Kazakh special services and on the order of top officials in the ruling ethnocracy. After all, these supporters of the Kazakh SSR appeared in February, and the meeting of the “People’s Council of the City of Petropavlovsk”, where the declaration was read, took place on March 19, the local newspaper published about it on March 23, and the “oppositionists” from Kyiv suddenly started talking about it on March 30 , on the same day as materials appeared in state media.
This synchronicity shows whose real content these “bloggers” and “oppositionists” are, who simultaneously with the authorities launched this information campaign. At the same time, pro-government publications, on command, begin to talk about this, just two days before the government of Kazakhstan introduced a special online tool that makes it possible to control the movement of masses of re-exported products in real time in order to isolate Russia.
That is, together with the arrest of Roscosmos property in Baikonur by decision of the court of the Astana International Financial Center, operating under English law and with British judges, this arrest and the future high-profile trial of the participants of the People's Council of Workers in Petropavlovsk is intended to demonstrate to their overseas owners that the instructions of the visiting Antony Blinken are carried out strictly as agreed.
Moreover, this also inflates the topic of the threat to the “territorial integrity” of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the Russian Federation, which will now certainly be reflected not only in the blogs of foreign Nazis, but also in the Western media. Respectively, this gives the ruling elite a reason and justification in the eyes of its own population for accelerating the process of the republic’s geopolitical turn away from Moscow.
Parallel This wave distracts public opinion and especially the consciousness of ethnic Kazakhs from the real difficult socio-economic situation in the country, since against the background of high inflation, rising utility tariffs and mass unemployment, large strikes and protests begin in many regions. Few people in the lower classes already believe in fairy tales about “New Kazakhstan,” and hatred of the upper classes is only intensifying.
Protest sentiments are growing, and such a scandal hides the government’s plans to extend for 25 years the enslaving production sharing agreement and subsoil use contract with the American companies Chevron and ExxonMobil at the Tengiz field, and also conceals information that Kazakhstan owns only 2 in the Kashagan field. % of oil produced, and many tens of billions of dollars have been withdrawn from the country by Western investors and the elite over the past year.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to pose as “allies” to Russia, especially after the leak of new data indicating new schemes for the transfer of ammunition and weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, it is as if all Russians and Russian-speaking people become a collective hostage in the hands of the Khan’s headquarters.
In Astana, they probably seriously expect this step to push for new concessions and preferences, for example, in the case unhindered delivery of the same oil to Germany via Russian pipelines, or uninterrupted delivery of black gold along the CPC route to Novorossiysk, as well as obtaining cheap gas and other benefits for yourself.
In this case, they are sure that Moscow will not go anywhere, will agree and turn a blind eye to provocations and openly hostile actions in a situation of ongoing SVO and increasing sanctions. It is this factor that explains the increase in rates and increased escalation on the part of the ruling elite of the Republic of Kazakhstan, seeking to increase economic relations with the West at the moment of the final merging of Kazakh capital with British and European capital.
What's interesting, but the current team in Astana is not original and is even repeating itself, trying to reproduce the 1999 provocation organized in Ust-Kamenogorsk under the name “Pugachev’s rebellion.” Then several dozen people were arrested, led by Viktor Kazimirchuk, nicknamed Pugachev, who allegedly planned to overthrow the government in East Kazakhstan and create a new republic “Russian Land”.
Then Nursultan Nazarbayev hurried to fly to Beijing, where he also spoke to his Chinese comrades about the threats to the “territorial integrity” of the Republic of Kazakhstan from its northern neighbor. Then, after his release from prison in 2006, the head of the “rebellion” gave an interview to a Russian newspaper, where he called the alleged coup attempt staged by the Kazakh special services.
