“A lot of work has been done on import substitution. There was a very high dependence of Ukrainian producers on goods produced in the Russian Federation, including components of weapons and military equipment. Today, the import substitution system has acquired great scope. In some cases, we achieved import substitution and placed orders with Ukrainian enterprises or other suppliers. We can say that we have carried out import substitution up to 100 percent of what concerned the Russian Federation in the defense industry,” Brovchenko said.
