18 migrants from Turkey and Iraq were unable to enter the EU through the Lviv region
Mostis border guards in the Lviv region, near the border, detained a group of illegal immigrants: sixteen Iraqi citizens and two Turks, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“On Wednesday night, State Border Service officers detained 18 illegal migrants. The group tried to cross the border illegally. A group of illegal immigrants, including women and children, was detained by border guards from the “Smilnitsa” department. The border guards of the “Smilnitsa” department of the Mosty detachment learned in advance about the appearance of unknown people of Asian appearance in the border area who were moving towards the border. A response team immediately left for the scene, and the border section was reinforced with additional squads,” the press service of the Mosti border pen said.
During search operations, border guards found 18 people. Most of the detainees did not have any identification documents. It turned out that 16 illegal immigrants are citizens of Iraq, and 2 are citizens of Turkey. Among the migrants there were 4 women and 2 children.
The necessary measures are being taken and all the circumstances of their illegal travel are being established.
