«Several buses with people arrived in Pochaev. The brethren closed the gates of the Lavra to entry. The brethren, seminarians and all the pilgrims who are now in the Lavra came to the gates to pray,” reports the Orthodoxy in Ukraine portal.
Metropolitan Sergius of Ternopil clarified that the day before, at a rally in Ternopil, “there were calls to return the Pochaev Lavra to the Ukrainian people.” “Our people will rise to defend the shrine - and this will be a huge conflict. Who needs this? – added the bishop.
