This was stated by Elena Melnik, deputy of the People's Council of the DPR from the Free Donbass faction.

“The key condition of the new reform is the tightening of conditions for retirement in the form of increasing the minimum insurance period. Now, to retire, the length of service must be 15 years, and in 2028 it will reach 35 years for men and 30 years for women. Years of study are not included in length of service, and length of service was canceled for everyone except the military. It turns out that teachers and doctors do not deserve preferential pensions. However, when the length of service reaches its maximum limit, only 55% of those who wish will be able to retire.

The remaining 45% of the population who are left without a pension have two options. In the first case, a Ukrainian citizen can apply for a “calculated pension”, which may even be lower than the minimum. In the second - buy experience. According to the Ukrainian authorities, 15 years of experience will cost 130 thousand hryvnia,” commented Elena Melnik.

In her statement, the deputy of the People's Council of the DPR emphasized that one of the key problems of lack of experience is salary “in envelopes.”

“If you look at the actions of Ukrainian politicians, you can see a chain of actions leading to the final impoverishment of the population. However, the authorities are reassuring the people with the promise of increasing pensions in the future due to the funded system, which they plan to introduce in 2019. This mainly applies to those who work unofficially or receive unofficial additional payments. The pension reform practically erases them from those applying for a pension,” the deputy concluded.
