11 Ukrainians who sought political asylum there were expelled from Germany
The authorities of the German federal state of Bavaria sent home 11 Ukrainian citizens who sought political asylum in Germany, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced today by an official representative of the Bavarian office for asylum and repatriation, writes DW with reference to the dpa news agency.
The day before, a plane chartered by the Bavarian state government delivered 11 Ukrainian citizens from Munich to Kyiv, the publication writes.
According to a representative of the Bavarian department, the deportation was agreed with the federal authorities. In addition to the Ukrainians, on the same day three applicants for refugee status were expelled from Bavaria to Italy. They were sent by regular planes - two to Milan and one to Naples.
All deportations were carried out in accordance with the terms of the Dublin Agreement. In particular, they assume that usually the EU country where the asylum seeker first registered is responsible for the refugee, the Bavarian department noted.
