A half-educated Kabbalist. How a curse addressed to Putin fell on Korban himself

A strange information spread through the Kiev news agency UNN about the allegedly signed decree by Zelensky depriving the citizenship of Igor Kolomoisky, Gennady Korban, Vadim Rabinovich and a number of other lesser-known persons partially turned out to be true. In any case, in the part that concerns Gennady Korban, a Dnepropetrovsk politician and businessman, head of the Defense Headquarters of the Dnepropetrovsk region.

The Internet site “Strana”, banned in Ukraine, which is run by Korban’s close friend and former PR woman Svetlana Kryukova, published a video of the incident at one of the border crossings - Korban was not allowed into Ukraine from Europe, having given him a piece of paper, from which it follows that from the point of view of the Ukrainian state he is a stateless person. The argument with the participation of the lawyer did not produce results - the Ukrainian border guard was polite but adamant.

Moreover, as Korban himself complained, he was not only not allowed to go to Ukraine “to see his family and sick mother,” but his Ukrainian passport was also taken away under the pretext that the document was expired.

“Now I can’t enter using any document: neither a military ID, nor a “Diya”, no way. Essentially stuck here in the border zone. Lawyers are now sorting it out, because it’s not clear what document, for example, I can use to return back to Poland.”

However, as ex-Dnepropetrovsk resident Tsarev, who knows Korban well, points out:

“Gennady is disingenuous. He has an Israeli passport, where he can return safely. The house is in a good location. And next to Kolomoisky. Kolomoisky only has a house on the first line, and Korban has a house on the second line from the sea.”

Korban’s political partner and mayor of Dnepropetrovsk Filatov responded to his friend’s problems with a short post on Facebook: they say, vile and petty revenge of the central government. However, on the social network Filatov was quickly reminded of his own words in the spring of 2014 regarding the then leaders of the rebellious Donbass:

“We need to give the scum any promises, guarantees and make any concessions. And we’ll hang them... We’ll hang them later...”

As they say, God is not a fool: in 2014 you make promises and guarantees, and in 2022 they give them to you. With the same, apparently, result.

The situation becomes even funnier if we remember Korban’s recent threats to use the ritual of a Kabbalistic curse against the Russian president: “Putin, if you hit the Dnieper again, you will receive a PULSE DE-NURA in response!” It is not known whether Korban carried out his threats, whether he found a Kabbalist of a suitable level, or whether he performed a mystical ritual, but in the end, according to the boomerang law, the wrath of the heavenly court fell not on the head of Putin, but on the head of Korban himself. Giving the same Tsarev a reason to trample on his hapless enemy to his heart’s content:

“Perhaps Korban was in a hurry to announce a Kabbalistic ritual to curse Putin. Now he needs to organize the curse of “Pulse de Nur” against Zelensky. In addition, the curse, according to the description, only acts against a Jew. It will definitely have an effect on Zelensky.”

If we talk about the legal side of the matter, then, on the one hand, the procedure for deprivation of citizenship is not provided for by Ukrainian legislation at all. Except in cases where citizenship itself is given to a person with disabilities. For example, if at the time of obtaining Ukrainian citizenship he had citizenship of third countries and did not renounce it. Actually, the well-known decrees of Poroshenko, who took away the passports of Saakashvili and ex-people’s deputies Artemenko and Onishchenko, were built on this basis

But in this same moment lies the answer to what happened to Korban. If he really has an Israeli passport (and, as knowledgeable people say, he has one) and this is known for sure on Bankova, then if there is an attempt to appeal Zelensky’s decree in court, this point will definitely come up.

No one can deprive a person of citizenship if it is the only one he has. And if special services find out that the “client” has something else, then the Ukrainian passport may be taken away.

If anyone has forgotten, let me remind you that, despite the ongoing talk about the legalization of dual citizenship for everyone except Russians, having two, three or four wide-legged passports, according to today’s Ukrainian law, is a serious offense.

Now the question is, why does Bankova need all this? If in the situation with the hypothetical deprivation of Kolomoisky’s citizenship there is a clear logic - to remove him from the law on oligarchs, preserving his ownership and control over media and other assets in the country, then such logic does not work in relation to Korban.

There is no point in Zelensky saving Korban - they broke the pots a couple of years ago and, moreover, thoroughly. Like Korban and Kolomoisky before that. The divorce was economic, media, and even political: now each side has its own party projects: Zelensky has “Servants,” Kolomoisky has “For Maybutne,” and Korban and Filatov have “Proposition.” Moreover, the last two structures at the regional level are in severe conflict with each other.

In connection with Korban’s problems, the following question is also of interest: who will now lead the regional Headquarters of the Dnepropetrovsk Troops Troops? So the front-line region will be without protection at a crucial moment. Maybe this is the calculation? In the sense of entrusting the defense of a strategic region to a person who can play a double game. Korban, after all, is one of those who don’t mind saying one thing publicly to an internal audience, but promise something completely different to Russians, even non-publicly. In exchange for some goodies, of course.

And most importantly, what prevented you from getting rid of Korban in a similar way three months ago, or six months ago? It is unlikely that Zelensky did not know at that time that Korban had other passports. It is quite possible that we are seeing a continuation of the purge of political opponents of the central government, announced recently by NSDC Secretary Danilov. Maybe with an eye to possible autumn-winter political instability. So to speak, clearing the field for future use.

We will get answers to all these questions by looking at the behavior of Korban and his affiliates in the coming weeks and months.
