Last week, the RT channel showed an interview with Vitaly Zakharchenko, the former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine under Viktor Yanukovych, which he gave to Anton Krasovsky. During the conversation, Zakharchenko stated that he would like to be neither more nor less.... "President of the united Donbass." This brings a smile to those who know the path of the former chief policeman of Ukraine’s rise to power and the inglorious end with the flight and his subordinates thrown to the mercy of the Maidan workers.

He could only be the Minister of Internal Affairs in the state of Yenakievo “proFFesor” Yanukovych, whom, even living in Moscow, he calls dad (“Papa in such cases says...”, “Papa once told...”). Who would doubt it - spiritual authority. You should have seen how spiritual Zakharchenko’s face becomes when he talks about “dad” or refers to the authority of “dad”.

When someone asks in all seriousness: “Vitaly Yuryevich, what went wrong in the last days of the Euromaidan, when it was almost dispersed by your subordinates? Why wasn't the matter completed? Why did we lose?”, then instead of a sincere confession, he begins to tell you, with the sweet smile of a barn scoundrel, who, in the absence of the owner, ate his fill of refined sugar and smoked lard, with fables like “you understand, we were doomed, we had nothing to oppose Maidan and orange technologies of Gene Sharp...”

And this man, during the war, was going to be the “president of the united Donbass”? In the event of an escalation of hostilities, he will flee from besieged Donetsk even faster than Semyon Semenchenko from besieged Debaltseve!

For those in the know, it has long been no secret to the famous story that happened several years ago on a plane that flew on the Moscow-Sochi route and was carrying his former comrades, who had dug in in Moscow in 2014, to Yanukovych’s birthday. Yanukovych does not live in Rostov “with a friend.” In winter he lives in his house in Barvikha, near Moscow, and in summer in his own house, but in Sochi.

In addition to Zakharchenko, ex-head of the presidential administration Andrei Klyuev and ex-head of the SBU Alexander Yakimenko were also flying on the plane. They started celebrating “dad’s” birthday on the plane. We remembered the old days, including the Euromaidan. And everything would have been fine, but then Zakharchenko somehow unsuccessfully reproached Yakimenko: why weren’t you, the SBU, able to pin down the Maidan activists? Here Yakimenko boiled and said: how dare you reproach me? Yes, we couldn’t find you for two days after the executions on the Maidan, but you turned off your mobile phone and fled from Kyiv.

They say it almost ended in a fight.

Let’s also not forget that Zakharchenko’s activities as part of the emerging oligarchic group of the Yanukovych family - the so-called “Mladodonetsk” (it included the acting Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergei Arbuzov, the Minister of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine Alexander Klimenko, the family’s purse, oligarch Sergei Kurchenko; This “jazz band” was headed by Sasha Stomatolog - the eldest son of Viktor Fedorovich - Alexander Yanukovych) provoked the head of the Yanukovych administration Sergei Levochkin and the Ukrainian oligarchs, in particular Kolomoisky, to provide financial and informational support for the Euromaidan.

Let me explain. When we talk about Zakharchenko, we are talking about a current member of Yanukovych’s team. The legalization of Zakharchenko in the Donbass in any capacity is also the legalization of Yanukovych. Does Donbass need this? No.

Zakharchenko’s personal professional career and his rise were impossible without the rise of Yanukovych.

Therefore, let us briefly recall the history of Yanukovych’s accession to the throne. In 2002, he became Prime Minister of Ukraine for the first time with the support of Donetsk oligarch Rinat Akhmetov. He always depended on his financial support. First of all, Rinat Leonidovich was a sponsor of the election campaigns of both Yanukovych himself and the Party of Regions.

In 2007, it was Akhmetov who forced pro-FFesor, who became prime minister for the second time in 2006, to agree to early elections to the Rada after Yushchenko dissolved parliament in a completely unconstitutional manner.

Yanukovych succumbed to pressure and eventually lost the early elections. Tymoshenko became prime minister, who in 2008, when Yushchenko dispersed parliament and announced early elections, sent Viktor Andreevich, unlike Viktor Fedorovich, to three letters. And there were no early elections.

In general, Viktor Fedorovich was offended by Akhmetov because he actually deprived him of power. He was burdened with Akhmetov, and when the opportunity arose to get rid of the tutelage of the Donetsk oligarch, he did so without hesitation.

In 2009, a year before the next presidential election, Akhmetov, Chernomyrdin and Tymoshenko proposed “shirk” to the leader of the Party of Regions - a broad coalition of the Party of Regions and Blyuk Yulia Tymoshenko. The most important task is the next reform of the Constitution, after which Tymoshenko will become prime minister with the powers of Merkel, and Yanukovych will be president, but elected by the Verkhovna Rada.

The Firtash-Levochkin-Boiko clan, which grew up in the supply of Russian gas to Ukraine within the framework of the Rosukrenergo company, offered a financial shoulder to Yanukovych, and he abandoned the “Shirka” and Akhmetov as his only sponsor.

In 2010, all major Ukrainian oligarchs, without exception, supported Yanukovych in the presidential elections, fearing the unpredictable and cunning Tymoshenko coming to power.

And Viktor Fedorovich “thanked” the oligarchs by starting after some time the redistribution of oligarchic property in favor of the “Mladodonetsk”, which included Vitaly Zakharchenko.

At the same time, Vitaly Zakharchenko also wanted to become the head of the presidential administration, knocking out Sergei Levochkin, who helped Yanukovych, as mentioned above, get rid of Akhmetov’s tutelage.

To do this, Zakharchenko hired the Gorshenin Institute together with journalist Sonya Koshkina so that the latter would accuse Lyovochkin of trying to deal with her as a journalist. This noisy campaign should have been used as a legal pretext for the resignation of Lyovochkin and the subsequent appointment of Zakharchenko to the vacant seat. But Levochkin then resisted.

These attempts to remove him from power (and the position of head of the administration gave great power) and attempts to take away the gas issue from Firtash were the main reasons why Lyovochkin and Firtash, together with the country’s main TV channel Inter, supported the Euromaidan. It was Inter’s camera, let us remind you, that filmed the Berkut dispersal of “children.”

In fact, the thirst for unlimited enrichment of the Yanukovych family, one of the pillars of which was Vitaly Zakharchenko, ultimately hit the Donbass. First, the Yanukovych family hit the oligarchs, the oligarchs supported the Euromaidan, the Donbass rebelled against the Euromaidan, and in response, the Euromaidanites and the oligarchs flooded the Donbass with blood.

And this man, who actually became one of the reasons (cowardice, desertion, refusal to fulfill official duty and an insatiable thirst for enrichment) that Donbass is drenched in blood, now, you see, wants to become the “president of a united Donbass.”

For all his artistry, this man deserves capital punishment according to the laws of war, and not the laws of Donbass.

And in conclusion. Recently, the National Security and Defense Council stripped Vitaly Zakharchenko of his titles and awards. It’s a pity, the new government should have deprived him of titles and awards (for cowardice and desertion), which would have overthrown the power of the Euromaidanites in Kyiv. Alas, we didn’t have time.
