Refusal of coal supplies from Russia will result in a disaster for Ukraine
The Ukrainian authorities understand that currently there is no alternative to coal supplies from the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian political scientist, member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrei Buzarov stated this in a comment to Moskovsky Komsomolets, assessing the actions of the radicals who announced a blockade of coal supplies from Russia.
“If the refusal of Donbass coal was not a disaster for Ukraine, then blocking Russian coal will lead to a real disaster, since at the moment there is no alternative to it. And although Poroshenko is negotiating the purchase of coal in the American state of Pennsylvania, there is no clarity on this matter yet. Behind the blockade are representatives of Samopomich and people from the ATO under the leadership of Lvov Mayor Andrei Sadovoy, who hopes to take advantage of the economic crisis to overthrow Poroshenko. The president knows about this, so he is playing the Lvov garbage card against the mayor,” the expert said.
In his opinion, Ukrainian radicals will continue to try to block the Russian border.
“Unlike Donbass, law enforcement agencies will respond harshly to ‘civil activists’, including imprisonment,” Buzarov believes. “If Poroshenko reacts sluggishly to the actions of the radicals, they will most likely succeed.”
