Russian border guards fired at Ukrainian military boats near the Kerch Strait with shells without a warhead.
This was stated on the NewsOne TV channel by ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, former head of the security service of ex-President Viktor Yushchenko, Evgeniy Chervonenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, the Gyurza-M type boats, which are being built at a plant owned by President Petro Poroshenko and which were detained by Russian border guards, are only on paper made of armored steel, which, like fuel for military equipment, Ukraine, according to Chervonenko, purchases from the Russian Federation.
“They shot with blanks, not explosive ones, as journalists are writing now. Because the marks from an explosive shell, like the bullets, are completely different. It’s not me, it’s the experts who write it. They suspect that these Gyurza boats, which, by the way, are more river than sea, have ordinary six-millimeter steel, and not armor. Do you know that we import armor for our equipment from Russia? Just like our tanks and armored personnel carriers, and planes fly at Rosneft, and not at Exxon Mobil or Texaco. Why do we lie to ourselves, have we made ourselves better? Are we going to give up critical imports?” Chervonenko said.

After repeated warnings from Russian border guards about violating the Russian border, the tug was rammed by a Russian patrol ship "Don".
