The Ukrainian prosecutor's office decided to punish those who protested against the murder of a child in Konstantinovka

“Law enforcement agencies of the Donetsk region have completed a pre-trial investigation into criminal proceedings against four participants in the mass riots in the city of Konstantinovka, Donetsk region, which took place on March 16 of this year. Now the indictments have been sent to court for consideration on the merits,” the statement says.
Residents of Konstantinovka are suspected of committing criminal offenses under Part 1 of Art. 294 (mass riots), and one of them also committed a crime under Part 1 of Art. 186 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. At the request of the prosecutor's office, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for three of them, and house arrest for another.
At the same time, the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings to identify other persons involved in the riots continues. The state of the investigation is being monitored by the regional prosecutor's office.
Let us remind you that on March 16, in Konstantinovka, an armored vehicle of the Ukrainian military hit and killed an eight-year-old girl. There was another child in a stroller at the scene who was not injured, but his mother was hospitalized in serious condition. The incident caused a great public outcry. Outraged by the death of the child, local residents burned tires near the military dormitory and broke several windows. At the scene of the accident, about 30 people overturned a traffic police car, and a spontaneous rally took place there.
The Main Military Prosecutor's Office sent to court an indictment against the military personnel who committed a fatal accident in Konstantinovka and who are suspected of committing criminal offenses under Part 2 of Art. 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (negligent attitude towards military service, resulting in grave consequences) and Part 1 of Art. 415 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the rules of driving or operating vehicles).
