Ukrainian intelligence: Russians armed to the teeth are already at the border
Russia is moving troops, equipment and weapons to the Ukrainian border.
This was stated today by the speaker of the Ministry of Defense Dmitry Gutsulyak with reference to the Main Intelligence Directorate, the department’s press service reports.
“The Russian leadership is increasing the number of troops near the borders with Ukraine. In particular, under the guise of participating in the Vostok-2018 maneuvers, individual military units using standard equipment were moved to concentration areas along the Ukrainian border from the eastern regions of Russia, incl. artillery units armed with the Uragan MLRS, assures a representative of the Ministry of Defense.
At the same time, Gutsulyak said, according to Ukrainian intelligence, in these areas “military field camps have been deployed, on the basis of which special detachments are being formed to ensure covert rotation and strengthening the forward positions of formations and units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces.”
In addition, he noted, “under the guise of maneuvers, the command of the RF Armed Forces transports new batches of weapons, engineering equipment and other property to the border with Ukraine for the covert transfer of units and subunits of the 1st and 2nd AK of Russian-terrorist troops.”
