Ukrainian economist: Without Western handouts, the regime will collapse and war will begin
The current Ukrainian regime of power is supported only by handouts from the West - loans allocated at high interest rates. Ukrainian economist Oleg Soskin stated this on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For us now everything rests only on the fact that the bandit regime is financed by the European Union, they are now giving a billion euro loan, and by the International Monetary Fund. If they stop funding, the regime will collapse, mass spontaneous protests will begin, very tough ones, and then it will be very bad,” Soskin said.
He also believes that various Anti-Corruption Bureaus that have appeared at the initiative of the West, “nightmare” this or that objectionable oligarch, may ultimately provoke new armed conflicts in Ukraine.
“It’s better to disband them altogether now, because their activities could even lead to civil war,” Soskin said.
As PolitNavigator reported, recent negotiations between the Ukrainian authorities and the mission of the International Monetary Fund did not bring the expected result. A memorandum of cooperation on the new financing program has not been signed.
