“In general, from August 2014 to the present day, Goskino has banned 780 films and series containing popularization or propaganda of the bodies of the aggressor state and the punitive bodies of the USSR, in the creation of which persons included in the list of persons posing a threat to national security took part , as well as production of the aggressor state after January 1, 2014,” Goskino reported.

The regulator added that such actions changed the situation in the film and television market of Ukraine, “led to the cleansing of the information space from Russian propaganda, and contributed to the emergence of mass production of domestic content.” In addition, the press service claims that the ban on showing films from Russia caused “significant financial losses to Russian film and TV series producers.”

Among them are films such as “Oles Buzina: Life Outside of Time,” “Officers’ Wives,” “Assignment of Special Importance. Operation “Typhoon”, “Still I Love” and others.

Ten films were included in the list of prohibited films under the cinematography law, that is, they were first shown after January 1, 2014. These are the films “Right of Way”, “Tank Man”, “Love in the City-3” and others.

Goskino canceled the state certificate for the right to distribute and demonstrate and canceled the state registration of the television films “My Other People’s Children” (dir. V. Netetsky), “Call from the Past” (dir. S. Vaskovsky) and “You Can’t Deceive Love” (dir. A. Zadvorny)".
