According to the source, the Ukrainians “will see that some of their leaders, who hold radical views, including on the relations between the two countries and peoples, as well as their environment, are not averse to making money on these very relations.”

Earlier, Medvedev announced impending sanctions against “hundreds” of Ukrainians.

Let us recall that on October 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which economic sanctions will be imposed against Ukraine “in connection with unfriendly actions” against citizens and legal entities of the Russian Federation.

Russian sanctions were a response to previously introduced Ukrainian restrictions against Russian companies and citizens. Thus, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine introduced sanctions against legal entities and individuals “associated with Russian aggression against Ukraine,” as well as in respect of which the governments of the United States and EU countries applied corresponding decisions. The sanctions list of Ukraine includes officials, entrepreneurs, State Duma deputies and famous artists, and military personnel. From time to time, the list of anti-Russian sanctions is replenished with new individuals and legal entities.

In addition, in June, Petro Poroshenko, by Decree No. 176, put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of June 21, 2018 “On the application and amendment of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions).”
