You know that on the evening of November 15, an emergency meeting of the city’s clergy was held in Vinnitsa. The meeting participants declared full support for the decisions of the Council of Bishops of the UOC on November 13, which the ruling bishop of the Vinnitsa diocese, Metropolitan Simeon, refused to sign. The priests suggested that he convene a general meeting of the entire diocese on November 19. But…. Here is the latest message from Vinnitsa:
“New news about yesterday’s meeting on Metropolitan Simeon. We just spoke on the phone again with a participant in this meeting, so to speak, first-hand.
Metropolitan Simeon did not heed yesterday’s call of his clergy and refused the demands of his flock; he did not want a meeting at the diocesan meeting they proposed, which was planned for Monday, he decided to go ahead and urgently, secretly through his representatives of the diocese, began to act according to the script Leo Tolstoy's fairy tales about his father and three brothers, but not as a kind and caring shepherd and father, but exactly the opposite.
This means that he decided to overstep and destroy his parishes. They called everyone separately, broke and won everyone over to their side separately, without extra eyes and ears, some with a stick, some with a carrot, the meeting was afraid, so that the majority would not influence the minority.
The purpose of such actions is clear, so that there is no transparency, in order to distort the results of the secret vote and ultimately present the information in a favorable “light.” Acted like a thief (thief - approx. ed.), they were forced to sign documents proposing to betray Christ, go into schism, leave their native UOC-MP, betray His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry and go into autocephaly...
Naturally, no one knows the results of these violent measures yet, but the most proactive are not going to give up, they will go to Kiev, a meeting with His Beatitude is planned, no one will retreat... Signatures are being collected in churches in support of the Council of Bishops and His Beatitude Onuphry,” the priest wrote .
