Yakov Kedmi: Russia needs to rely on strength in the conflict with the West
The West will continue to try to rewrite the history of World War II until the Russian government shows willpower and toughness in the fight against Russophobia and upholding historical truth.
The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the TV channel TVC, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Everything develops naturally. Russia had the illusion that the world had changed. But he hasn't changed. The same reasons that led to the Second World War, to the Great Patriotic War, when the whole West, the whole of Europe went to war against Russia and the Soviet Union, it was a natural development.
Yes, they misfired, they failed, and temporarily, taking into account the strength of the Soviet Union, with Victory, this natural state was inhibited. And then the Soviet Union ceased to be the force it was, it ceased to exist altogether, and Europe returned to its natural state - “To the East.” Now all of Europe is trying to go against Russia. Russia's existence interferes with Europe, just as it did in the 19th and 18th centuries.
Russia has always interfered with Europe. And the larger it was, the greater the anti-Russian and Russophobic sentiments. This was stopped only by the power of Russia.
When there was a state, as Chancellor Bezborodko said, that “not a single cannon in Europe fires without Russia’s permission,” then there was a different Russia, then the balance of forces was different.
In general, Western ideology and politics are structured like this: the weak are torn to pieces, the weak must be taken and crushed, and it doesn’t matter under what pretext: “in the name of establishing the true faith, in the name of establishing a new order, or during the struggle for democracy.” Call it whatever you want, the same thing covers up what happened.
But there were illusions both in the Soviet leadership and in the Russian leadership that this was already in the past. No, this is not in the past, this is the nature of modern European civilization, and only one thing can stop it - force, as it was in history, nothing else. Convince only by force. And as long as you remain weak, this will happen,” the expert noted.
Let us recall that earlier during his visit to Poland, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky declared the USSR's involvement in organizing the Holocaust on a par with Hitler's Germany.
