70 percent of “Ukrpatriots” turned out to be criminal groups
Most of the so-called “patriotic” organizations in Ukraine work on orders and engage in racketeering under the guise of nationalist ideas.
The leader of the group, Yevgeny Karas, stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are very few selfless ideological activists on the market, very few. I will say this, in Ukraine there are probably up to five structures. Because that's all, really, chatter. In most structures, the question arises: “People are throwing money at us, we have our own business.” There is no way to verify this, I am simply answering for my words. I know that in most cases this is a lie, there is a lot of racketeering, slot machines, some kind of grave business, factories of God knows who... Most public organizations, 60-70 percent, are racketeering, protection rackets,” said Karas.
