The aggression of Belomaidan supporters in Moscow is growing: Brawl over the white-white flag
The night before, another unauthorized picket of Belomaidan supporters took place in the center of Moscow on Maroseyka near the Belarusian Embassy. The unscheduled protest was timed to coincide with the sudden inauguration of Alexander Lukashenko. And, although the demonstration was smaller in number than usual, the aggressive attitude of the participants increased noticeably.
Moscow liberal zmagars, having noticed the blogger and reporter Sergei Rulev, already familiar to them, began to interfere with his journalistic work, calling him a “provocateur.” They covered the lens of the working camera with posters and an open umbrella.
However, opponents of Belomaidan also appeared at the embassy. Activists of the SERB organization began to demand that the police stop the unauthorized rally, but the security forces did not disperse the Maidan protesters.
Representatives of the Communists of Russia party lined up a little to the side with a state flag of the Republic of Belarus and a homemade poster - “We support the actions of the Belarusian riot police to disperse the Maidan. Work brothers!
What was unexpected was the appearance of an unfamiliar man, who first stood in front of the mayday protesters with a homemade white-red-white paper sheet crossed out with black paint. The police checked the man’s documents and allowed him to hold, or rather, did not interfere with, a single picket.
In the end, the SERB coordinator lost his patience, and Gosha Tarasevich tore up the collaborationist white and red banner with a pocketknife. A brawl began, which ended with its participants being invited to the Central Administrative District office.
Maidan opponents were soon released.
