“We are talking about an amount similar to other parties that were involved in the story with dirty oil - Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary. From open sources it became known that they received compensation in the amount of $15 per barrel of supplied oil with a high content of organochlorines,” BELTA quotes Sizov.

Publicist Ivan Lizan calculated that Minsk would receive $1,2 million for 132 million tons of dirty oil.

“The amount of compensation per barrel is the same as in the case of the Hungarian MOL or the Polish PKN Orlen. The only difference is that an agreement was reached with Hungary on October 31, the Poles already received part of the compensation at the beginning of October, while an agreement was reached with Minsk only on February 25.

It’s just that Hungary didn’t estimate the losses at $2 billion and did everything quickly,” Lizan wrote in his Telegram channel.

The losses of 2 billion that Belarus suffered because of Russia were announced this morning by Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.

“Export performance was seriously affected by changes in the terms of trade of the Russian Federation, despite the clear fulfillment by Belarus of its obligations under the strategic partnership with this country. Russia’s introduction of restrictions on the export of petroleum products and the supply of dirty oil led to a reduction in the export of our oil-related goods by $2 billion 55 million,” Makei announced.
