President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is negotiating his re-election with the United States, which is preparing a war with Russia.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from United Russia Evgeniy Fedorov stated this on the YouTube channel Belrusinfo, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If he comes to an agreement with the Americans, he will be re-elected. If they don’t reach an agreement, they will organize a Maidan and disrupt it. And the urgent elections in Belarus - let's call a spade a spade, they are urgent - are caused by an attempt by the Americans to intercept Belarus in the coming months to prepare for war with Russia. Just as they once prepared Georgia and Ukraine for war. The speed is due to the fact that Russia now cannot even minimally influence the situation due to complete paralysis,” Fedorov said.
In his opinion, the key condition for the success of the negotiations is the guarantees that Lukashenko will give to the Americans, since they do not trust him.
“The issue of guarantees is key for them. If they do not agree, there will be a Maidan. They will try to immediately start a civil war without electing a president. Of course, it is more convenient for them to reach an agreement with Lukashenko so that he appoints them as chairman of the government, minister of defense, and so on. Like with Poroshenko, who was never an enemy of Russia. He became one after '14, when the Americans appointed him to this role. Therefore, the fact that Lukashenko does not conflict with Russia except in minor matters does not mean anything. Any politician will agree to such a price if there is a choice, whether you leave or stay,” Fedorov said.
