OSCE Secretary General expressed gratitude to Macron
Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Thomas Greminger thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for organizing the meeting in the “Normandy format” scheduled for December 9 in Paris, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He wrote about this on his Twitter.
“I thank President Emmanuel Macron for organizing the Normandy Format summit on December 9. Key steps achieved recently in Ukraine: prisoner exchange, fewer ceasefire violations, reconstruction of the Stanytsia Luhanska bridge. Now we need a strong political impulse to move closer to a sustainable and peaceful settlement,” said the OSCE Secretary General.
Let us recall that on November 15, the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky reported that a meeting of the leaders of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia in the “Normandy format” will take place on December 9. Then this information was confirmed in Berlin, Paris and Moscow.
According to Ukrainian sources, Zelensky expects to discuss the timing of the “de-occupation” of Donbass and a new prisoner exchange at the “Normandy” meeting.
Thank you!
