The editor-in-chief of Dozhd was quickly silenced on Ukrainian TV (VIDEO)
Kyiv, November 01 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The level of discussions on Ukrainian TV is no higher than on Russian state TV channels, said the editor-in-chief of the Moscow TV channel “Dozhd” Mikhail Zygar, who arrived in Kiev to participate in Evgeniy Kiselev’s talk show on "Inter".

“It feels like I’m in the studio of the Russia-1 TV channel. I have an absolute feeling that I am in my homeland, and this is Russian TV. Everyone in the studio shares the same point of view. And the level of discussion does not go beyond the dispute between everyone and Nestor Shufrich. I have been following Ukrainian politics for a long time. I know well who Nestor Shufrich is, what his words are worth, what his political background is. But it’s very strange why the main topic is: Shufrich, or everyone else? I wonder if Shufrich weren’t there, what would you be talking about?” – said Zygar.
He was immediately reprimanded by Svoboda representative, Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrei Ilyenko.
“Understand one thing. You came to Ukraine, you are now sitting on Ukrainian television, and 15 minutes ago you said that the occupation of Crimea is, in principle, normal, and you agree with this. So, you differ from Porechenkov only in that he behaves arrogantly, and you behave intelligently. But the logic of your actions is the same,” said Ilyenko, and the studio supported him with applause.
After the commercial break, presenter Kiselev said that Zygar left the program, citing the short duration of the trip to Kyiv.
