The well-known Ukrainian propagandist of Euromaidan and the ATO Sergei Rakhmanin, deputy editor-in-chief of the influential Kyiv newspaper Zerkalo Nedeli, reproached the Mejlis members for passivity on air on the ZiK TV channel.
He said this during a conversation in the studio with the deputy director of the Majlis TV channel ATR Aider Muzhdabaev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Many believe that the Crimean Tatars themselves did not sufficiently defend what they should have defended at the beginning of the aggression,” said Rakhmanin.
“That is, 40 thousand armed Ukrainian military, the SBU, the prosecutor’s office, the bureaucracy, who betrayed Ukraine in its entirety, who were not Crimean Tatars, they fought enough for Ukraine, and the unarmed Crimean Tatars who stood along tank columns with posters “Crimea is Ukraine,” who went to rallies, of whom 40 people were kidnapped and killed, who are in prison, of whom more than 40-50 thousand have already been forced to leave Crimea, this means they didn’t fight enough?! Interesting logic!
How can the civilian population fight against tank divisions and landing groups when the armed Ukrainian army leaves this territory,” Muzhdabaev seethed.
“If we talk about those people who consider this point of view, which I just voiced, to be true, they believe that there was an opportunity to arm the Crimean Tatars, and this did not happen, partly due to the fact that there was no corresponding desire of the Crimean Tatars “, the TV presenter clarified.
“This is a lie spread in order not to liberate Crimea... Sorry, Crimean Tatar children in Crimea draw the Ukrainian flag in their notebooks, they come in Ukrainian uniform on September 1st, they do not sing the Russian anthem... If Ukraine surrenders its people there, no one will believe - neither the Crimean Tatars, nor other people, no one will believe in such a government, we will not build any country,” the Mejlis member voiced counter-claims.
