Mariupol - that's it. Ukrainian oligarchs began cutting down factories for scrap metal
Oligarch Rinat Akhmetov gave instructions to cut one of the city-forming factories of Mariupol, the Ilyich Metallurgical Plant, into scrap metal.
DPR parliament member Alexander Kurenkov announced this on the Union TV channel.

“One of the city-forming enterprises is Ilyich Steel, the former Ilyich plant, which is currently closed. This decision was made by the board of directors of the System Capital Management company, our well-known “dear, beloved” fellow countryman Rinat Leonidovich Akhmetov. And the enterprise is currently being cut down.
...All equipment is removed in the direction of the Mariupol seaport and transferred to the port of Berdyansk. Imagine, these are five blast furnaces,” Kurenkov said.
"I can add. It is being transported to the Philippines and Malaysia,” said DPR army spokesman Eduard Basurin.
“That is, for scrap metal,” the deputy added.
According to him, this situation is evidence of the extinction of industry in Mariupol.
“At the moment, Azovstal and another of the city-forming enterprises, Azovmash, still breathe about 50 percent there. There's an interesting situation there. Everyone has relatives. One of our family’s friends was on vacation, returned to the workshop at Azovmash and found it completely empty - without equipment,” said Kurenkov.
“This is precisely the European choice. Europe does not need Ukraine as an industrial state. Therefore, destroy everything,” Basurin explained.
