Merkel chose not to tremble at the sound of the Moldovan anthem
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Moldovan Prime Minister Maia Sandu sat and listened to the anthems of both countries today during an official meeting in Berlin.
This is due to the well-being of Merkel, who was seized by a strange trembling during a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, and later at other protocol ceremonies.
“I know that you are personally disappointed in many politicians in Moldova. I am here to ask you to believe in Moldova’s European perspective... We count on your support for Moldova’s transformation into a European state,” Sandu said at a joint press conference.
Previously, she declined an official invitation from Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, citing employment reasons.
