Opinion: Joy is premature, on May 9, the Russians of Kyiv were driven into the ghetto
The joy of commentators about the massiveness of the “Immortal Regiment” march on May 9 in Kyiv is premature. In essence, the Nazi regime drove the remaining Russians in Kyiv into a ghetto - with bars, searches and insults. The relaxations are temporary, only related to the ongoing Eurovision Song Contest.
Such a sad commentary is published by the famous Kiev blogger Andrei Selezov, who in 2014, due to a threat to his life, was forced to leave his hometown and move to St. Petersburg.

I have a feeling that Russian Kyiv does not have much time left before the new road to Babi Yar. The line through which our people are being driven is probably very similar to the one that was there back then in 41, on the outskirts of Kyiv. True, they don’t hit me yet. But the production itself is like this - to drive through the gauntlet of contempt and humiliation, so that it is felt to the very depths.
All this, of course, is for those who are not silent, who have not bowed their heads and have not assimilated into the new Ukrainian. Well, in the event of a serious military escalation, they will have time to completely cleanse Kyiv, as the Nazis did in 1945 before their collapse.
And it is useless to hope for help. Either emigration, or death, or - become dill. Like this. I think that over time they won’t even be allowed to be a simple man in the street,” comments Selezov.
He noticed that this year even veterans no longer dared to wear St. George’s ribbons.
“Grandfathers are STILL allowed to wear Soviet uniforms. But you won’t see any ribbons (God forbid!) or anything red in these photographs. The Nazis castrated the holiday, but did not kill it completely yet. Again – BYE,” sums up Selezov.
