In Ukraine, you can only die for Poroshenko in Russian
The only public sphere where the Ukrainian authorities encourage and even highlight the use of the Russian language for propaganda purposes is the army group involved in the punitive operation in the Donbass.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Russia-1 TV channel, commenting on the draft law adopted in the first reading the day before by the Verkhovna Rada, further limiting the use of the Russian language.
“The only area where it is allowed to be used is for career officers and privates. That is, Russian-speaking Ukrainians can and should die for Poroshenko in the bloody ATO, according to the logic of the authors of this bill. You can’t use your native language anywhere else,” Kornilov said.
At the same time, the political scientist emphasized, officers and privates will be required to use the openly fascist greeting “Glory to Ukraine - glory to the heroes,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At one time, at the OUN congress, this slogan was proposed by an organization called the “Union of Ukrainian Fascists.” This is about what kind of fascists they are. This slogan will make all the officers scream,” Kornilov said.
