Ukrainian TV admitted that the slogan “Crimea is Ukraine” does not work
The Crimean Bridge brought the inhabitants of the peninsula even closer to Russia and further away from Ukraine.
The former head of the presidential administration of Ukraine, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and Transcarpathian oligarch Viktor Baloha said this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, cries about Crime's ownership of Ukraine will lead nowhere.
“No matter how much we all want it, Russia has built its own bridge. And in a very short time. Why couldn't we stop this? You know, the slogan “Crimea is Ukraine” is not enough. The strategy that Russia will collapse tomorrow looks funny. The fact that the bridge will not hold up and will collapse in a few years is also not a strategy. The main strategy, why we lost, is different - we must build prosperity in Ukraine, which will, by all standards, exceed the standards of Russia, and, accordingly, Crimea,” the deputy said.
“We must clearly understand that Crimeans have become closer to Russia. Money from tourists and businesses will flow through this bridge today. Crimeans across this bridge will begin to move away from us even more. And we are from them,” summed up Baloga.
