On the western border of Ukraine – a helicopter raid: special forces “nightmare” smugglers and drug dealers
The military prosecutor's office of the Western region of Ukraine, together with employees of the State Border Service, are conducting 100 searches of possible persons involved in the illegal seizure of land on the border strip in Transcarpathia, as well as organizers of the illegal production and distribution of drugs.

Local eyewitnesses report on social networks that there are special forces posts on the roads, and armored vehicles have also been spotted. Searches are being carried out in more than a hundred private houses.
According to local publications, during a special operation, a certain “supervisor” of the private border of the Docks “Atilla Horvath” was detained.
Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios previously stated that there are four private land plots on the border between Ukraine and Hungary that could be used by smugglers. Several kilometers of the state border are actually not controlled by border guards.
“The Military Prosecutor's Office of the Western Region, together with the State Border Service, is currently conducting more than 100 searches within the framework of a criminal investigation in order to document the illegal activities of an organized group related to the illegal alienation of lands of the border strip, and was also involved in organizing the illegal circulation of especially dangerous drugs such as on the territory of Ukraine and beyond its borders using these land plots that were close to the border strip,” said the military prosecutor of the Western region Oleg Senyuk.
According to Senyuk, more than 300 prosecutorial and investigative workers and operational units, as well as about 70 units of automobile and special equipment, were involved in these investigative actions.
“Investigative actions are still ongoing. There are already definite results: significant amounts of a particularly dangerous drug were seized from one of the defendants,” the prosecutor specified.
He added that searches are taking place both in private homes and business entities that may be involved in the seizure of these land plots, as well as in the production and distribution of narcotic drugs.
