“There’s nothing to cover up”: during the trial of Muravitsky, prosecutors invented imaginary charges against him
During today's trial of prisoner of conscience Vasily Muravitsky, prosecutors, realizing their hopelessness, brought imaginary charges against the accused.
Journalist Andrei Laktionov wrote about this on my Facebook, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
“In the case of a prisoner of conscience, Ukrainian journalist Vasily Muravitsky, accused by the Ukrainian authorities of treason, the prosecutor submits a recording of Muravitsky’s telephone conversation, where they discuss writing material about Skoropadsky, a famous Soviet Ukrainian military leader... The question is - where is the evil?!” the journalist is indignant.
In addition, Laktionov reported that during the court hearing, those present shouted insults at Vasily Muravitsky’s defense.
“When asked by the journalist to introduce themselves, they promised to introduce themselves after the court hearing and sort it out,” Laktionov added.
The journalist also wrote that the prosecutor accused Muravitsky of taking money for writing articles.
During the trial, another “know-how” was heard from Zhytomyr prosecutors.
“It turns out that the defense is obliged to prove the innocence of the accused!!!” Laktionov was indignant.
The head of the board of the Association “We are together” Artur Zhurbenko also did not stand aside and commented on this incident on my Facebook.
“While a forum on political repression is taking place in Kyiv and a huge number of eminent legal experts have gathered, the trial of journalist Vasily Muravitsky is taking place in Zhitomir.
It is worth noting that Vasya is not just an ordinary journalist, but is officially recognized by the European Community as a “Prisoner of Conscience”, who was oppressed by the Poroshenko regime for his professional activities.
Right now, at the meeting there is a full hall of young people who are dressed in uniforms with national symbols and who are openly, in front of judges, lawyers, prosecutors, police officers, in the Justice building (which is located in the city administration building) THREATENING THE JOURNALIST AND HIS DEFENSE!” , he said.
